Privacy Policy
AttorneyForge
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AttorneyForge (“AttorneyForge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with attorneyforge.com and related pages (the “Site”).
AttorneyForge makes pocket-sized legal tools: small software apps for solo and small-firm attorneys, one job at a time. This policy covers the Site, the waitlist, and coming-soon pages, including LEDESLine. LEDESLine is not open yet. When a tool ships, that tool may have its own privacy notice.
1. Who we are
AttorneyForge is a software business operated by Jason Sweeney / AttorneyForge (entity formation pending). We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. AttorneyForge is not LawEvo and is not a DBA of LawEvo.
Contact: privacy@attorneyforge.com (or the contact method listed on the Site if that mailbox is not yet active).
2. Information we collect
a. Information you provide
The waitlist form asks for an email address (required) and a name (optional). That is the whole form. We also keep messages you send to the contact addresses published on the Site.
b. Information collected automatically
The Site is hosted on Vercel. When you visit, Vercel or we may process:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from IP
- Pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps
- Security and delivery logs, and cookies or similar technologies used to host or protect the Site
c. Information we do not seek
The Site is not a place for client files. Please do not submit confidential client data through waitlist or contact forms. Do not include matter names, matter numbers, invoice contents, or privileged communications. The form has no fields for that information, and we do not want it.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Store waitlist signups and email you when a tool is ready to try, including LEDESLine
- Respond to inquiries
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use
- Understand aggregate traffic and Site performance
We do not use waitlist emails as a client list for legal services. Joining the waitlist does not create an attorney-client relationship.
4. Where waitlist records are stored
A signup stores the email address, the optional name, and the time you joined. Those records are private objects in Vercel Blob, on the Blob store connected to this Vercel project. We use them to run the waitlist and to send product updates. They are not published on the Site.
The pages themselves are files served by Vercel’s hosting network. Vercel processes requests so the Site can load and so delivery problems can be debugged.
5. Sharing
We may share information with:
- Service providers that host the Site, store waitlist records, or send email. Today that includes Vercel, for hosting and Vercel Blob
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting) when needed
- Authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security
- A successor in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets
We do not sell personal information as “sell” is commonly understood (cash for contact lists). If a future analytics or advertising cookie configuration could be considered a “sale” or “share” under California law, we will update this policy and provide required choices.
6. Cookies
Hosting and security on Vercel may use cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking them may affect how the Site loads. The waitlist form does not set an advertising cookie.
7. Data retention
We keep a waitlist record until you ask us to delete it, we no longer need the address for product updates, or we shut the waitlist down — and longer only where the law or a security need requires it. We then delete or de-identify it when practicable.
8. Security
Waitlist records are written to a private Blob store, not to a public page. We use reasonable measures for a small marketing site. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is directed to adults and legal professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable age).
10. International visitors
The Site and Vercel Blob storage may be in the United States. If you access the Site from elsewhere, you understand information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To ask about a waitlist record, email privacy@attorneyforge.com. We may need to verify your request.
You may unsubscribe from product emails using the link in those emails, or by writing to us. A service message (for example, confirming a deletion) may still be sent when needed.
12. LEDESLine
LEDESLine is AttorneyForge’s first product, planned as a pocket-sized tool that turns a regular invoice into a LEDES 1998B file. The LEDESLine page is a coming-soon notice. It does not accept invoice uploads or client matter data. A separate LEDESLine notice will describe any product data before that tool opens. A waitlist signup is not a LEDESLine account.
Pricing described on the Site is a one-time price rather than a subscription. No dollar amount is stated here, and it may change before launch.
13. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own.
14. Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version on the Site and revising the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site.
